Hello all! Had my booking appointment at Holles Street today (staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful, no queues either, seen straight away which was brill) and got plenty of info about what would be coming next!
One thing I hadn't realised was that we would be out of their catchment area for the public health nurse at home visits, which means that I would have to stay a full 3 nights at the hospital as we're not eligible to have a nurse visit us at home after being discharged after a night. The midwife mentioned something about an alternative being that we could pay privately for a nurse/nanny to come out to us in the house (I didn't realise she'd said this until afterwards when my husband told me, so not entirely sure what it is about!) Anyway just wondered if anyone had ever done this or know someone who has? I just wouldnt really fancy spending 3 nights in hospital and would consider paying to have someone to come out to the house (depending on cost) if it meant I could get home quicker. Anyone know anything about this?
