Been to the hospital today and im 40 +1 and they set my induction date for next thursday. so i am ready and waiting but i would love to go on my own so does anyone have any ideas to induce myself????

well Itried everything!!!! spicy food, long walks, hot baths, sex, rasbery leave tea nothing worked but you give a go maybe it will work for you! Good luck!

rocthebaby are you having a laugh, that would just make me sick, i might love the man but that goes beyond the call of duty in my opinon, (bad experience turned me off it for life)

for those of you that have been induced does it mean that labour can be more intense and how long does it take usually for contractions to start, can i send my man home or should he stay with me and be on call

I got induced 1.35 a.m and contactions started 4 a.m.!! but I heard it's different for everyone!! Hope you go in yourself! Keep us posted and best of luck!!

I got induced on my daughter, was grand they put the gel on me at 9 in the morn little contractions didn't start till 3:30 and was holding her by 8:30!

wow i was under the impression that my man need not be there at all until the next day but i better have him on standby by the sounds of things. thanks girls. im so excited right now, i went through my bags like 3 times today and changed all the baby gros in it to different ones, im sure ill do it all again tomorrow. and my house has never been so clean, bet i go before my induction, i hope so FINGERS CROSSED

Definetely have him on stand by! I woke my fiance up at 6 a.m to tell him that contractions started and told him to go to work thank God he didn't listen I was in labour ward at 10.30 what was I thinking!
Btw bring few different sizes babygrows. I took new born size and my boy was 9 pounds 15 oz so nothing fitted him!!! Thankfully I had one that did

Thats good your date has been set firsttimer! I think the girls have mentioned pretty much every home induction method I can think of! Hopefully you'll go on your own but if you don't I've heard induced labour generally progresses faster so that cant be a bad thing!! I'd say you're SO excited now!!!

Good luck with it, at least you have a final date now that you know you def have the baby by, but hope you go yourself

girls i am so sore today its not even funny, i wouldnt say they are contractions but my back is in bits, and its a constant pain. im shattered with it and it seems to get worse randomly, baby is still kicking away but not sure at this stage if i am having back labour or not. just gonna wait it out, no waters breaking yet and no sign of anything else. currently 40 +2 so hoping it is labour, ill take any amount of pain right now so i can be done with this pregancy, not that it was a bad pregnancy i just want to meet jack now.
