Lack of morning sickness?

Postby LittleFoot » Mon Feb 13, 2012 7:39 pm

Hi Girls,

I'm new to this forum and I just want my mind put at ease, I'm about 6.5weeks pregnant and I still dont have any morning sickness to speak of, have a little indigestion for a few hours in the morning and then it eases off. I'm just worried that it means there is something wrong or the baby isn't developing properly which might cause miscarriage.
Have any of ye developed sickness later than 6 wks or not at all and had a perfectly healthy baby???
Can't believe I actually want to have morning sickness!

Hey, I'm not pregnant or anything but I do know that some ladies don't get morning sickness. Everyone is different and every pregnancy carries different symptoms. I would try not to worry. Stress isn't good for the baba.

Hi welcome and congrats!!!
I never had morning sickness there for I didn't believe that I am pregnant until my 14 week scan! It's much easier to wrap your head around the whole pregnancy thing if your body is going trough the change (like morning sickness) I had no symphtoms at all! Nothing!!
I have a healty baby boy so do not worry at all I know its easier said then done because all you do is worry through out all pregnanacy and then worry about every little thing when baby is born. Joys of motherhood but sooooooo worth it!!! :baba

I didn't get morning sickness until about week 8/9 and had it for the best part of 6 weeks. Not everyone suffers with it, so count yourself lucky if you don't get it. A work colleague of mine had it for 8 months of her pregnancy and said it was the pits. Worse thing was that i had it while on holiday in Cyprus, it was a killer especially with the heat. If you do get it, you will know all about it, if not - then lucky you. But i wouldn't worry about it hun, every pregnancy is different.

Hi Girls,

Thank you so much for all your help and advice, it is very much appreciated! I'm feeling so much better about everything now that I know I'm not the only one! Its funny how you always think you are the only one going through these things!

Excitedmum2be, I know exactly what you mean about not feeling pregnant until you get the scan, only for the extreamly sore boobs I would be testing myself every few days to make sure I wasn't dreaming! Can't wait for the scan now so that my mind can be put a ease that everything is really ok.

:thanks
