I had period type pains around week 28 hun. Mine weren't confined to just my tummy, I had them wrapping around my back and going down my thighs and no matter what position I sat in or walked in they wouldn't go away! I was getting some irregular BH as well so I ended up ringing the hospital and they told me to come in, the fact the pains weren't going away and were in my thighs were what had them worried. Ended up having a few contractions while I was on the trace and as a precaution they gave me the steroid injections for babs lungs. BUT looking back now I personally think all of that was triggered by the symptom-less UTI I had!

Yeah those sounds like BH alright chicken! When I asked the midwife at the hospital about them she said that usually they start in the top of yer tummy to start to push baby out, the lower down ones are the ones that generally start of thin out the cervix iykwim! Like excitedmum2be said maybe try a warm bath, or a lukewarm hot water bottle near the area thats achy. If that doesn't work then maybe ring the Caredoc or the hospital, just to get peace of mind off someone on the phone. Even speaking to a midwife or nurse would calm me down cause usually they have an explanation for these things that will help you relax about everything and if they think you should be examined they'll tell you to come in. They can usually tell by your tone of voice on the phone whether you should come in or not. Hope yer alright chicken xxx

Oh i have been having BH on and off for the last week or so, some were so bad that they took my breath away and i had to stop doing what i was doing. I found that getting up and about and going for a walk eased them and also moved baby around, who has been lying at a very awkward angle and hurting my ribs. On the countdown now to starting maternity leave in work :D

thanks girls xx

Rathmineslady when are you planning on starting maternity leave? ive said 2 weeks before due date but i dont know if i'll get that far ! i went into work today and heard that my boss was giving out to one of the girls saying she didnt know why i couldnt just get on with my job and needed days off that im just pregnant!! i had 3 days off last september when i was bleeding and doctors made me rest up incase i miscarried and then i had last Monday off because my back ache so much that i could hardly get out of bed! I dont think 4 days off in the last 28weeks of been pregnant is much but seemingly it is for my boss! I'm so so mad with her as i bend over backwards for her in work and continue to do all the work i did when i wasnt pregnant and never complain to her!

Thanks hunni I actually just feel like telling her to go stuff her job but we need the money! I'm sick with her can't believe she's bitching behind me back to the girls when I bloody do just as much work as them if not bloody more! Once I hit 30 weeks I'll be telling her I'm going on Certs just cause she's been a bitch! And then she can talk about me all she wants!

What an absolute cow of a boss hun!! And there you are struggling with your back and barely taking any extra time off at all and she's still bitching the back off ya! My God, she must be one of the most selfish women ever!! Definitely go out on certs hun, don't push yourself more than you're able to! You won't get any thanks for it off that one obviously! xxx
