doctors pregnancy tests

Postby broodychick » Sun Dec 04, 2011 9:14 am

Hi girls, hope you are all doing well. Just wondering how long ye waiting until going to doctor to confirm your pregnancies? I have heard on here that doctors tests are very bad and sometimes come out negative if you go too early? I have had positive pregnancies tests every day since 10DPO
Now I am 14 DPO.
AF comes pretty much like clockwork and would be due today/ or tomorrow morning- obviously praying like hell she wont arrive...
I have made an appointment with doctor for tues which would be 16 DPO- is that too early?

Hi pet, I got a BFN 2 days before period was due so had myself totally convinced that I wasn't pregnant. I didn't test again until my period was 5 days late. I'm not sure when I ovulated, as I stopped doing the OPK's and FErtility friend. I Waited til my period was 11 days late before going doc because was waiting for my partner to come home from abroad. The doctor never did a test! He asked me had I tested n I said I had 3 BFp's. So I suppose he trusted my judgement? I dunno. My next appointment with him is at bout 13 weeks to hear the heartbeat.
I think u should test a day or two after period is due n if it's still positive then I think u can accept ur gonna have a little baba. The waiting game is awful tho. Good luck xxxx

I was at a doctors before and she was saying that their tests aren't as sensitive as the hpts - that some could even be a week behind the home tests - but hopefully you will be able to get it confirmed

Brilliant, such a relief... I always feel like even though the home pregnancy tests are better than the docs ones it nice to get professional confirmation! congrats.
