not showing online

You know when you sign in and there's a box you can tick to say not to show your online, well I clicked it earlier and I could still see my username down where it says users online
Does this mean people can still see your online or is it just me who can see my name??

god darlin ive no idea i would assume that is it just you that can see you are online
