Girls, can you advise me here? I posted before that I had gotten my first opk but my temps didn't really rise after it. They have been noticeably rising the last few days. TMI warning: I had LOADS of ewcm yesterday and this morning at about 10am I got a second positive OPK. Both are two weeks apart? Can anyone shed any light on this for me? I didn't take a HPT this morning. Took one yesterday which, based on last OPK was 10DPO. Any ideas ladies??

hey hun when r you due the ? i had n still do the feelin of being wet tmi sorry lol!n watery/milky cm, had a ,lot of it before af so much so i thought id gotten the af, n i dont temp but ve heard that if its up n stays up then hopefully u are pregnant, ive everything crossed for u hunni, oh i got my bfp at 12dpo but the last time i didnt get it until i was 17dpo, depends on how much hcg is in ur system! good luck hun!

Thanks lovemylilbean!! I took another opk this morning and it was positive also. Took a hpt and it was negative. I don't know when my is due cos I have really long cycles. Since stopping the pill in Sept, it took 77 days for the first AF to arrive and then 47 days was the next cycle. I'm on cd31 of this cycle. I have been thinking a lot about it and I was reading up on opks being used as hpts cos they interpret LH and HCG the same. I also read that TSH is almost identical to them also. The day I took that last opk, I had forgotten to take my Thyroid pill which meant that receptors in my body would have been producing a lot of TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) to get my body to produce thyroxine (basically the hormone my tablet is made up of) so that probably explains the positive reading on it. I'd say my TSH levels took a surge that day. Going by signs and shifts in temps, I think I am just O'ing at this point in my cycles. I really appreciate your reply LMLB. x

This happened me last month went to the hp and she told me that when u hav long cycles ur hormobes stay up for longer than normal cycles

Maybe you are just ov now then especially with the two days in a row and the ewcm

Yeah, I'm thinking I'm just ov'ing now. Have cramps in the right side at where my ovary would be and feeling very hot. I really think the +opk the first time around was either a false positive due to the increase in TSH or else I geared up to do it and it didn't happen. They went negative again from the next day onwards. I'm sure I am now though so DTD yesterday and today so ya never know!! Thanks girls. x

Good luck If you have long cycles you are more likely to ov now than earlier in your cycle, you usually get AF around 10-14 days after ov i think. And the cramps in your right side sounds like a sign of it to me too

I am 100% sure I ov'ed. Temps are way up, even though my feet and hands are like ice. I have really sore nipples, I think that is one of my ov signs. The ewcm I got the other day kind of confirmed it too so hoiping the Bd we did worked. Fingers crossed! And thanks MrsEl!

Oh yeah, I will because they tell another story. If they start dipping then AF is coming and if they spike again it would probably mean I'm pg. I always loved taking my temp anyway even when I wasn't ttc, I'm weird like that! They are up again on last night, to 37.1 Celcius. At the start of my cycle they were mostly 35.8 or something. It's fascinating stuff really. Interesting knowing the reasons behind it.

Yeah that is why i was asking cause you can tell if af or maybe a bfp is coming I'm enjoying using my cbfm too, great learning how your body works

Yeah, it is mad how self-obsessed we can become! I love it though and I love the sound of your cbfm, I want one!! It is mad though, if I didn't know about Ov'ing and progesterone and rising temps, I'd be swearing that I was sick as I had a temperature! :lo: Nice to know the reason behind it all.

Yes definitely, like i've got sore boobs and I've got a high on my cbfm so I know they're related
