Oh yeah, definitely. But what I'm getting from all you missies is that if you just relax about it, it may happen easier. Like, using OPK kits can give you the wrong result or you might ovulate early or late and that if you just keep dtd every few days and not stress about 'having' to 'catch an egg', it makes for much better chances of conception...or at least a less stressful life!!
Also, a lot of people get preggers when they are drunk, so maybe there's something to that too!

I always read about how women give up drink and all sorts of foods when they start ttc but I remember something a friend of a friend told me before we started ttc. She said that doing things like that could hinder your chances of conceiving as your body is already going through changes like getting used to not drinking or eating rare steak or runny eggs or whatever. She said its best to carry on your normal life and if that doesn't work THEN look into changing your lifestyle. It always stuck with me! Sure I was drinking at the Take That concert the day before I got my BFP! I had a suspicion I was PG but just remembered what she had said to me and felt like if I didn't drink I'd jinx myself iykwim

Yeh I totally agree here.. Just carry on as normal and after a few months if nothing happens then cut out the alcohol etc...

Ah, just after Xmas would be the ideal time to get pregnant
You can still enjoy all the festivities and then start the new year with a bump instead of a bang haha!

I think you are both right girlies! When I was in college (about ten years ago), I studied a bit of human development and as part of it we did pre-natal care. I don't remember most of the lectures but what stuck in my head was the damage that stress can do to a growing 'bump' and that it was very very important not to get stressed as it does all sorts to your body.
I am just going to stay relaxed and if in about 8 months time, there is still no bfp, I'll start being more healthy. I'm quite healthy as it is though in fairness.
