Weaning advice

Postby Chuckles » Sat Jul 02, 2016 11:17 am

My littlr boy is 22 weeks and i started him on solids three weeks ago but he is not loving it. The baby rice was enemy number 1 in his world and sweet potato not much better. Carrot was loathed! He just about tolerates the taste of banana. But milk is his world! He doesn't like water either! Any suggestions?

Maybe give him a few more weeks with just milk? My wee one just hated spoon feeding and purees so I ended up giving her mostly finger food from 6 months and she did well with that. So baby led weaning by default I call it! Milk is fine til 6 months on its own if you want to take a break and see if in 3 weeks or so he is more receptive. They can be tough little buggers at times!! :-)

Hi chuckles I think you don't have to start solids til 26 weeks. He might just not be hungry enough for them. You might be surprised what he'll eat if you wait another few weeks!
