Bad things do happen

Postby Lexie » Wed May 30, 2012 8:25 pm

Oh girls what a day. Got a text from one of my best friends at 3.45pm today and my heart just sank I had such a bad feeling.
Last year unbeknown to the pair of us we were both having surgery for an ectopic on opposite sides of the city.
as I suspected when I phoned it has happened to her again.
So I left work and went straight into her as her husband lives and works in cork.
Needless to say she was in a state.
But listen to this her husband was in Dublin last night and she was spotting, but she drove him to Houston station at 6am to go back to Cork!!!! and then she took herself to the GP!
Anyway she calmed down after a while and we chatted about this and that.needless to say I have not told her that I got my :positive .
Just home now as her mum had arrived from Cork.
Consultant has been to see and and will revisit tomorrow and see what they are going to do. That sort of ectopic she had/ has happens 3 times a year in ireland. Her pregnancy is attached to her ovary.
Please God all will be ok but nobody is particularly hopeful.
MrsM I now know how you feel about your friend and her news. Are we all so lucky? Am I the lucky one? Will any more bad things happen?

That is terrible for your friend and so extremely unlucky but try not to let it cloud your positivity. Stressing is not good for the baby. You don't want to create a self-fulfilling prophecy so I think, yes, you should keep telling yourself that you are the lucky one. What alternative do you have?

Aw Lexie I'm so sorry to hear about your friend, that's terrible. I had my moment of stupidity a few days ago but that's all gone now and we have to think positive Lexie, we will be fine please God and we are super lucky, as is every Mum to be and all anyone can do is take it day by day. Makes you appreciate your little bean even more xx

She is hanging in there.
they cant make definite diagnosis as yet. So more bloods and scan again tomorrw.
I'm so hoping she will be my bump buddy. We had our 21st together, we lived together, our first engagements broke off at a similar time, I got engaged just before she got married last year, we had ectopic surgery the same day as each other last year heres to praying we have babaies together.
