C section Mammies, pls help

Postby rcw2014 » Wed Mar 11, 2015 11:27 am

Hi ladies, thanks for reading this
I had a section 6wks ago, recovered very well. However in last 4days Iv developed a swollen stomach. Was sent up to hospital and its definitely nt a gynae issue they think perhaps its my bowel. My incision is not infected etc
Question is did anyone else develop anything this long after section

R a I am same timeframe as you. Did it swell or has it just not come down. The rest of my body has come back to normal apart from lower stomach and everyone has told me it just takes longer to heal.

It became swollen, had totally come down. Im watching what I eat now in case thats the cause but Im quite disappointed as my recovery had been pretty good
My gp said it could be jst one of those things but its so random that i think ill ask her for letter to get scan done
Like I can feel it when I am walking as its like a weight on my lower abdomen, jst above incision
Thanks for reply

That is the way I am - swollen above and below the incision. The doctor checked me at 6wks and said it was normal but it doesn't make sense that your went down and back up again. I would ask for the X-ray

Have u been doin a bit much RCW? Like did u start back driving or lift something a bit heavy? I know i had swelling to 1 side and got freaked that i had a hernia but i had jst done a bit too much. Remember ur stil only 6 wks post major surgery. It wil take awhile for all the internal stitches to heal.

I did very little for first three weeks but picked up pace after that
My Gp sending me to general consultant for him to hav a look.I think my bowel has gone sluggish as swelling increases as day goes on
