Pro biotics for reflux

Postby Shoelover » Mon Oct 26, 2015 6:32 pm

Hi all has anyone used these for reflux? LO doesn't have bad reflux as in she won't chuck up every bottle etc and I've tried the usual things like infacol and gripe water to no avail so I was considering going down the more natural route. Would appreciate any advice.

I use Udos probiotics but more for little man's gas & nappies. If you don't want to go medicine route you could try Carobel or Gaviscon to thicken milk. Unless you already use anti-reflux milk.
Carobel has helped my lo so much!

I used optibac for my lo she had silent reflux. Your lo could have silent reflux shoelover it's where the acid comes up their throat and makes them very uncomfortable, they don't bring up their feeds just the odd one.
Zantac worked wonders for us. Our pharmacist encouraged me to stick with aptamil one after breastfeeding coz the other formula's can cause problems with constipation etc.

Yeah you do and it's weight sensitive so your gp/pharmacist need to work out the dosage required and how often. Our lo was a different baby once we started it. It was like a new lease of life to enjoy my baby again she had been so cross and uncomfortable with silent reflux and it made me question everything I did for her.

I have been using babies magic tea for my reflux baby. It soothed him instantly. I am a BF mom and used to drink this tea besides giving directly to my LO.
