I am just wondering if people have gone swimming this late in pregnancy and is there any possibility of pool staff stopping you.

I will be going with my oh and am hoping it will take weight off my back

the only reason my doctor warned me off going swimmingthis late on was because swimming, even just floating in all the water can make babeis head rise back up!!

oh ok........... hmmm I have antenatal appointment tomorrow so will ask then.
I cant swim I'd just like to float there and chillax

O Id like to know this too.... Iv been doing a bit of swimming, wondering when I should stop.

yeah I got same advice--- was told baby is in a great position so am not risking him/her moving back

OK I asked about this at the hospital today and the doc said to me she had never heard that this can happen that its perfectly safe to continue swimming.. but I think myself Ill prob give up around the 38 week mark anyway!

i was swimming through out my pregnancy.....but prob explains why i was 10 days over due!!

just had antenatal class yesterday and midwife said that swimming on ur front can get baby into right position ie its back to your tummy and this can make a massive difference to how easily babs can get out during labour

I'm def not risking it! haha, already 9 days over and baby is not down enough... would love the relief of a swim but at this stage after the advice i got - its soooo not worth it! haha, go go if baby doesnt come soon !!!!
