Yeah it's crazy waiting times but I guess don't have to be in too often. Feels like surely they can manage it better ?

Mum2be I am pretty unsure alright but no one can give me any definite answers so they are nearly leaving it up to me on what I feel comfortable doing . I had fourth degree tearing during last labour which is fairly significant , I had to go into surgery afterwards. Basically you could end up incontinent (hurrah for giving birth) luckily I recovered quite well but it was quite long and had to have physio and everything. Basically it could happen again or it might not, no one can predict that bit. The worry is if it happened again the muscles wouldn't heal as well second time round so it's like a precaution to just have c section. I'm trying to figure out which is the better option, recovery from the tear had to be worse than a c section it was horrific and I've been through that so hopefully c section I could handle . It's kind of a hard decision cause I don't think c section sounds nice either . Anyway I'm sure I'll come to peace with the decision

Don’t know how many times I’ve replied but never clicked submit!! Ditzy me
So sorry you given run around for scan, had your partner taken time off?
. Was in docs today, had flu/cold since last week and can’t shift, needed note to take more time off work so off I went expecting nothing serious - well haven’t I gotten myself pneumonia!! In hosp Thursday for appointment too!!
So glad too see half way scan going well for us!! Lydia Friday will be worth the wait!! My bubba is measuring small 17th% so back in 3 wks for growth scan! My ds was born in 9th% but was around 12% at this stage!!
Will be an interesting appointment Thursday - if I start improving on the pneumonia!!

I’m so chilled about it and everyone is all worried about me!! Like I am sick, but it just feels like flu!! My only issue is I can’t control my bladder when I cough!! Leaking each time!
I’d say the section is a tough choice but look at long term section recovery will be 6wks maybe less!! Losing function could be life fasting this time and this life changing. I can understand why it’s tough, as you fully recovered now! With a section you won’t go over either and you don’t have to tell anyone you getting it before hand.

Cripes Nervy that's awful. I had pneumonia when I was in college I will never forget it I wasn't right for 6 weeks. I really hope you are minding yourself!
Lydia that is a total pain in the neck about the scan dates. Don't worry about work though they have to give you time for appointments it's the law (my sister had this battle with her bosses when she was pregnant they told her that she could only take certain times and days and preferably take her apps on her own time! So she did a bit of digging and told em to go and scratch for themselves.) Will be thinking of you on Friday hope it all goes well.
My anomaly took about a half hour I wasn't in long. I'm going private so wasn't waiting too long that day (on the clinic days I usually end up waiting 2 hours or more he is so busy). He does the anomaly in the maternity though so I was in the waiting room with a mad queue of people and next thing I was called in I was so morto shuffling past them all and I'd only sat down. The maternity units are so so busy you'd imagine they could be run on time it's mental.

Mum2be2019 feeling very big this week! None of my clothes fit anymore, living in leggings at the moment waiting for my clothes to arrive in the post. I've scoured all of Limerick looking for maternity clothes and nothing! Have found a few good websites though if anyone needs some work attire, Seraphine is good a little pricey but good quality and The Gap has some good basics ( sweaters and undershirts). I don't know who designs maternity clothes but it seems that you can either pay a crap ton for something nice or look like you're wearing a potato sack, nothing in between!

Hope you are feeling better nervymummy!

Also anyone have any tips for hayfever whilst pregnant? Absolutely loving this nice weather and being able to get out into my garden but my head is killing me with the allergies.

I was in Limerick on Thursday and saw nice maternity leggings and tops in H&M. Also next jeans are very good they wash well. I bought a really pretty white top and a pair of jeans in H&M and their online selection is really good. Love Seraphine but am afraid to buy the Duchess dress because I have enormous boobs and feel like I would look like a porn star in it!
Maternity wear in general can be disappointing I think. It seems to be designed for ladies who only put a belly on. I'm kind of wider around the hips and waist now since I got pregnant and I find it hard to get tops.
You poor thing with the hayfever I don't suffer from it thank Jesus so I'm useless to you. Would the chemist give you anything?

Great that all went well Lydia (although the appointment moving again must be irritating)! I had my glucose tolerance test today, so hoping all is ok. Went looking for maternity jeans, couldn't find anything in store! MrsMc i followed your recommendations, but no joy. Is it only possible to get them online?
Nervymummy, hope you're recovering well now?

I'm still working 8-3.30 but this Thursday Ive to work 8am-10pm with an hour drive each way!! Dont know how Ill get through it tbh as my eyes are burning by 2pm everyday no matter how well I have slept the night before!!
I had clinic last week and all went well thankgod, baby is doing well (still dont know the sex) and bloods etc all fine. They ve signed and booked me in for my CSection which was a relief to have the date.
Gonna finish up work in the next 6 weeks I think.
Sorry for the moaning!! On a different note its so exciting guessing whether its a boy or girl!! I have a boy at home and dont mind either way but I havent had 1 boy guess yet. My bump is smaller and neater than last time. Maybe less round and high too!!!

Evening ladies, back to feeling almost normal now. Went to work yest and today, wrecked now but after a week or so of just sleep it’s hard to get into it. Missed my hosp apt last week so in tomorrow - was convinced it was Thursday but was wed. Probably get a lecture but Ive a good reason!
So glad that eventual scan went well and you god a 3D. I couldn’t make mine out - still can’t its the head but hubby does!!
I got maternity jeans in dunnes only in black on line. Very comfy. Still managing in work pants just about, if I get pulled over on way home they will ask questions but hey.
Oh mum got my mat jeans in penny’s for a fiver!! No idea what they like though.
What do you do love 2 sleeps. That’s a long long day! You can ask for a break during the day for a rest.
I’m the same with the guessing - so glad I didn’t find out now!! Only 15wka to find out!
Did the hosp say when they will ring you re GTT test doing this? Usually it’s same day!

They had loads of jeans in H&M Limerick when I was in there. I got a black pair in Dunnes too at the start of my pregnancy and they are very comfortable. Next usually have a selection of jeans too and if you try on a pair you'll know what size to get then If you have to go online to get a colour you like.
Love2sleep I'm 29 weeks and definitely will be getting signed off by 35 no way am I going to be able for it I'm shattered every day by 3pm. It's like being hit by a bus!
Lydia delighted you finally got your scan. Lot of chopping and changing of appointments for you which is so annoying but at least all was fine. I had the anti D this morning and I swear the maternity was like a cattle Mart! Cars everywhere parked on top.of each other and I saw at least 4 people park and then head off into the city for work. I was fuming. Nearly took the side off my car trying to get out past a car parked on a double yellow line and no space to pass him.

Hi ladies. Sorry I am trying to catch up with everyone's posts! Glad to hear that the scan went well Lydia, such a relief. You poor thing nervymummy what a dose to get, glad you are feeling a bit better. Love2sleep, it must be great to know the date you will get to meet your little bundle, I think I will be getting signed off a bit early aswell, I did with my two boys, it is just too tiring near the end. Hope the glucose tolerance test results come back okay weredoingthis!

I have my anomaly this evening and I am a nervous wreck. I shad gotten the harmony test done and the results came back as inconclusive twice, apparently it doesn't mean that anything is wrong but I can't help myself but worry. I should never have bothered doing it! My consultant said that normally they would do an amnio but because of my history of miscarriage they wouldn't recommend that for me and to wait for the anomaly scan. I had a scan at the consultants rooms a week and a half ago and all measurements looked good and bubs was measuring a week ahead so that gave me peace of mind for about 10 minutes, before the worry set in again. Mrsmc my scan is the the maternity aswell this evening I think I'll just park in the Strand Hotel, can't cope with the stress of the hospital car park, it's a disaster!

Great to hear everyone is doing well.

We had our 21 week scan yesterday and all is looking good thank God. It is such a relief to have that over with. We didn't find out what we are having so it is really exciting trying to guess whether it is a boy or girl :)

We had our scan in the Coombe and must say we were so impressed. We didn't even have to sit down in the waiting area we were brought straight in. In and out in less than half an hour. We did make sure to book a first thing in the morning appointment though which I am sure helps.

Is anyone going to the pregnancy fair at the weekend? I hope it is good - and I am going to keep an eye out for any bargains.

Just home from my anomaly scan, everything looks perfect and we are team pink, baby wasn't making it easy for the doctor, but she is fairly sure it's a girl!
I just wanted a healthy baby but so happy it is a little girl as we have two boys already! I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders to know everything looks okay, I thought my heart would jump out of my chest waiting to be called in!

Aw that's great Mina I'm delighted for you! And a girl after the 2 boys how fab!
I was lucky Sarah when I went in for mine I wasn't waiting long. We went private in the end she my sister said that's why I was seen so quickly. I can't comment on the public system down here as I haven't been in it but a friend is and she says that it's usually okay you'd be in and out quickly enough an hour is the longest she had to wait. Biggest issue here is parking as far as I can see
Couksnt face the pregnancy fair. I feel just enormous at the moment ant so heavy out front. I just know if be demanding to go home after a half hour. We have ordered our bits an pieces an put deposits on stuff so I think we are ready. Got some good bargains in various sales. I think Mothercare is having a good sale at the moment too if anyone is looking for a travel system they seem to have some decent savings.

Glad your scan went well minamc2! Don't think i'll ever stop worrying that everything is ok in there! The car park in Limerick is terrible!

We're heading to Ikea and to the baby fair on Sunday, hoping to catch some deals as well! Will be a long day but my husband is great at grabbing me snacks when I get tired and cranky. Definitely going to spend too much money :)
