Nothing really to do Nervy only put the last minute bits like a charger and some snacks and towels in the bag. My hospital bags are packed woth 2 weeks so just one for the pre baby stay now and I'm not bringing much in with me. No point really. I'm an awful mix of nerves and excitement. My husband is very calm if he is nervous he deserves an Oscar!

Mrsmc just popping on to say the best of luck and a section is not the worst thing in the world. As u know I had an emergency section and honestly the thoughts of it is worse than it actually is. Yours will be nice and relaxed and will be worth it all once you have your little baby in yours arms. Best of luck with it all xx

Ah great to hear from you Anne - hope you are enjoying motherhood and your little lady must be getting so big now! I'm kind of going with the philosophy that he has to come out and he can't be pushed out with the low placenta so airlifting him is the only way! It's more the thought of the being cut open and the recovery that frightens me. I just can't wait to meet him.now and see his little face!

She is 4months now and getting so big. Loads of smiles and giggles it's so amazing. Honestly the recovery was very quick for me ,within 3 weeks I wasn't sore anymore. You will do great xxx

MrsMc you are the leader in our group - you’ll be giving us all the advice. I met my friend and her nine day old today, she had a section last thursday week and was out and about town today. She’s a little sore - but not in pain, she said the whole experience was so calm and lovely, the midwives are so caring. She was so nervous going in but has reassured me if I have to have a section that it’ll be ok. So I hope that reassures you xx

Aw thanks Mum2b- that is so reassuring! My sister had a planned section for the very same reason as me. She was a very severe placenta previa and spent 5 weeks in hospital prior to her second baba and she said a planned is very calm and that it's not the worst thing. Her recovery was harder because she had a toddler at home I've none of that to contend with so am lucky to be fair. And I'm not a severe case either which is good.
Anybody do anything nice for the weekend? Weather was so fab wasn't it!

Wow girls can't wait to hear some baby news . I still have about 9 weeks till section. I'm sure it will fly but I'm eager to get on with it . I have hospital appointment on Monday dreading that hope it's not too much hanging around .

Hospital bag is started and I washed baby clothes I had heaps of stuff from my first. I just need to get stuff for wash bag , something to wear going home , underwear and those massive green sanitary towels. Oh the joys

Oh those lovely maternity pads are so dignified I've been well warned about the way They stick a heap of them on you after delivery. I think midwives and medical care staff are fantastic people I really do. My own Mammy was a nurse for 37 years and she loved it but they do such hard work.
Got all checked in this morning and got a private room so am delighted with life. So tired now though didn't sleep a wink last night thinking of it. Got an injection of steroids into the hip so I can't settle at all now but Baba is still happy out and I've no bleeding so I'll manage everything else. Anybody due in the next 2 week's? I can't remember!

How old is your little guy? I have to say I cannot wait to meet him and see who he looks like and cuddle him. Now that I'm admitted it seems very real. Am exhausted today haven't dragged myself out of the bed at all much only to shower and dress. Feel so lethargic. Hard to sleep here at night but will get used to it no doubt.

I hope you are settling in ok. It’s nice to know that while you are stuck in hosp your end result will be great!! So exciting to hear it officially and we can welcome baby mc2017!!
Love2sleep - once mc has her baby it’s your turn almost!!
I’ve another 8 weeks to go, probably will be brought in before than as baby is measuring too small for their liking at the moment. Have growth scan again inn2 weeks.

Looks like it's all go here now, we're really into the countdown! I've 7 weeks to go, but had a bit of a scare this week like you nervymummy. Baby didn't move much on Sunday/Monday, so got checked at ED where doctor said baby was measuring 3 weeks behind... Had another scan, consultant said he was happy enough but back in next week for another check. My bump has absolutely ballooned in the past 3 weeks though! Hopefully baby is taking a growing spurt.

Ah that must have been worrying with the reduced movement. Mine baby, is just super small, but my son was small to, this baby was measuring bigger than son up to two weeks ago(not much son was in 9th this was in 15th) but scan this week was in 7th. So reduced growth in 2wks It’s mad how they tell you 3wks behind, but I’m told all about percentiles!
How are movements now?

Much improved again, thank God, Nervymummy. Baby is breech and lined up it's back to my back, with an anterior placenta... It all added up to not feeling anything for about 15 hours. I'll be glad to get some update on size next week. I also have to completely cut out caffeine, as baby's heart rate fluctuated a bit too much. It was a scary few days. I'm so glad it's the weekend, are any of the rest of you completely exhausted these days??
