Congrats MrsMc, so exciting x x Great to hear baby arrived safely.
I'm in for my section on Wed. I've been calm enough but starting to freak out a little more about managing 2 kids rather than just one as 1 is very tough at times!! lol

Love2sleep, I'm in Limerick as well. Actually going to be in the Leader this week about the parking situation there. They contacted me after I was giving out about it so much! Hoping that it puts a boot up the butt of UL Hospitals Group to do something but not holding my breath!

I'm.in Limerick also girls. Going home tomorrow thank God. The staff here are incredible they really are. Today was so tough. I'm not breastfeeding and never realised I'd have milk come through anyway I've spent the day in agony with swollen boobs hot to the touch. Add a belt of hormones to that and I have literally cried for 10.hours straight over everything and nothing at the same time. It's awful. Just for the first timers among us. It's very tough. I found today tougher than the whole section portion of it. I felt like I'd really lost all control of the situation and had no say in anything including my own body.

I'm will be in Limerick too ladies. Didn't realise there was so many of us. Oh mrsmc you poor thing, they call that the day 3 blues or something like that. Totally normal, just let the tears out. The boobs can get really sore for a couple of days, putting cold cabbage leaves into your bra can help and a good support bra. I hope you will feel much better once you get home xx Impatientlywaiting, I must get the leader and read the article. Fair play to you! The very best of luck for Wednesday love2sleep!

I'm.just seeing the post about the parking now. It's the actual pits here. The staff have to park I know all that but there isn't room for anyone then once they have. And the people coming for appointments abandon cars everywhere it's dreadful. I have seen people park there for the day and go in to town to work or otherwise as well it would infuriate you! I've spoken to girls who had to park at the Strand and come across or else leave it a housing estate and come to clinics. Not ideal at 9 months pregnant!

Parking is shocking in Limerick! I think we were lucky at our first appointment, we got parking straight away, but other than then, we’ve gone straight to the Strand!

Good luck lovetosleep looking forward to your update. Mrsmc hope you get home , it's lovely when they let you out. How are you finding csection recovery ? Once your body recognises it doesn't need to produce milk I think it should stop pretty quickly. Your milk coming in is actually super painful breastfeeding or not , the joys of it all.

I'm 33 weeks, I'm so looking forward to being on the other side. I've another 4 weeks left in work but I'm doing very well thought I'd be struggling more at this point with commute and full time work plus 3 year year old but I'm doing OK

Best of luck love2sleep! Yvonne section Friday eek!! I had mine last Friday feels like a million years ago now but in another way it feels like he’s been here forever. And I’m so in love. He’s a dream so far, very chilled. Loves his bottles and his cuddles and sleeps very well. I’m so lucky.
As for section recovery, the first 24 hours are the toughest. You have a catheter in which isn’t at all painful but I kept forgetting I’m it was there and walking away from the bed where the bag was hanging! I was also quite sick from low blood pressure it would drop suddenly and be fine again a few mins later. So was dog sick. But once that stabilised it was fine. Take all the pain relief girls even if you feel you don’t need it. It can catch you suddenly and quickly especially if you turn in the bed quickly. The midwives are incredible. I had one lovely one who helped me walk to the loo after 7 hours and she helped me to clean up and out on my own knickers (laugh not it is a wonderful feeling after nothing for a few hours only an incontinence pad!)they are sonl fab.
