I had a little girl! All well with her so we are totally blessed . Elective section nice calm experience but recovery is tough that’s for sure. Ah I’m very soon after it yet to judge what recovery will be like

Congrats YVonne! Welcome to the world little one! My advice to you would be to take any pain relief they give you even if you feel you are okay. It can creep up on you!

Congrats Yvonne!! Hope all is going well for your recovery. I'll be back at hospital tomorrow to see if baby has decided to cooperate (so far, no, still breech judging by kicks). I've 2 more weeks of work, and so much to do before I finish!! Think I've most baby stuff organised now though, just have to recheck my hospital bags

Congrats Yvonne :) hard to believe we are all coming up to our due dates. How is everyone feeling? My little one is still breech, there is still room for them to turn right, I’m 33 weeks!

Got my date 24th July , it's very real now. Ran out and finished packing hospital bag, still have to do toiletries and pack a third bag of extras . If I'm in five days I don't reckon two bags will cut it

Hi girls, hope everyone keeping well! Very exciting days ahead for some of you! Yvonnne hope you are doing alright and not too uncomfortable and that your little doll is settling for you!
Lydia I had 2 bags one for me and one for Baba and then I put a spare bag in the hubby’s car with extras of things like wipes and nappies and babygros as well as spare pads and bits for myself that way they are in there with them if you want them and also you don’t have to be rooting for anything. I found it great as space is limited in the hospitals and no room really for big bags of stuff.

Congrats Yvonne hope you're recovering well. So exciting!! Good luck Lydiahopeful, the countdown is on now! I'm almost envious of the section dates as you know exactly when baby will come. I will be a nervous wreck the closer I get to the date just waiting for labour to start. Only 45 days left for me if baby comes on the due date, any tips on what to put in the maternity bag? Not sure what the best option for pajamas/ nursing clothes is.

You are fierce organised! I didn’t need the labour ward bag in the end as I was a section planned but that all looks v similar to what I packed. Bring plenty nappies anyway they are always dirty moments after you change them and the first few are just awful sticky tarry type ones that you'd wonder how anything human could make! I don’t know if everyone is as clueless as me but I didn’t think the milk would come in for me when I only have him 2 feeds and when it did I was dreadfully upset as I was so so swollen and uncomfortable and the relief I got from hot or cold facecloths on the boobs was unreal. So maybe pack some extra small cloths for that even if you’re feeding it will hurt I’m told! Sure I hadn’t a notion. I was asking the midwife for a tablet to bring them down I thought that I’d be given something instead I was told to put hot cloths on them and get dark cabbage leaves in my bra from the fridge! I was just horrified.

I wish I could say I'm organised. That's a list I had from my son and tweaked ages ago, I've nothing done though.

Hi ladies, hope all are keeping well? I had an ECV to turn my breech baby today. Baby did not cooperate at all, so will be delivered by section at 39 weeks. I'm relieved, as I like the idea of knowing when to expect arrival!

A section is honestly not too bad . I found the whole experience very calm. Could organise childcare for my toddler etc , no mad panic in middle of night.
First night is tough when you can’t get up but the midwives are there to help in anyway possible . It gets easier then. I do feel sad that I can’t pick up my toddler yet . Can’t wait for that.
My husband has said he would take this birth over the normal delivery all day long lol. Much easier for them
