Thanks Emily, yes feeling much better thank god , I was just very worried cause I had an awful stressful few days at work and was upset so I was worried there was something wrong, had a good chat with my sister who reminded me that those cramps are normal especially around the time your period would have been for each month, which I was exactly the day I had the cramps!!
My DH reckons I need to go off sick from work it’s causing me an awful lot of stress and upset at the minute . I feel guilty even thinking about going sick though!

Jess if work is really getting to you then defo take some time off. I really believe we are all just numbers to these companies and we have to look after ourselves x

Sorry I missed your post Jess, don't seem to be getting notifications. Glad the cramps are gone. I've been signed off for 2 weeks now and I feel so much better. Take a week or 2 maybe and see how u feel? My consultant told me she had to do the same thing when she was pregnant and you have to put urself first. We only get this chance once and we need to do what we can. I was so stressed and overworked I felt dreadful. That's not good for baby. At the end of the day whatever job we are in they will survive without u. It might be easier to make the decision once yiur off work if that makes sense x

Thanks ladies, I am the overall manager of the company and the owner of the company is my boss- I’m responsible for 90+ staff . The stress is really just getting to me, the owner of the company would have always been very supportive and kind to me but since I told them i was expecting that has changed - they are expanding the company in Jan and I think he’s annoyed that I will be on maternity leave for that and he will have to oversee it. I am at the hospital for a checkup tomorrow so I will talk to them about how I am feeling and see what they suggest, Ive spent the whole weekend just dreading going in tomorrow

That does sound stressful. As hard as it is, you need to be selfish right now. You have waited so long for this. You need to put yourself first. Could you start training someone in to take over some of your duties? Best of luck st appointment today. I am 23 weeks tomorrow and finally ordered buggy today. We went for an uppababy vista travel system. I had tears in my eyes ordering it. I can’t believe it’s our turn..

Thanks for the support as always ladies, appointment went well yesterday Consultant is happy with everything. Have my big scan on Friday so anxious about that but excited too.
Re work, it’s not an option to reduce hours , I have recruited my replacement and she starts in two weeks so I’m going to try and hold out until then, my Consultant said yesterday he will sign me off whenever I need it, now that I know there’s an end point in sight I’m feeling much better about it

Thanks Dotty, I’m just home & officially on maternity leave! Everything is fine with baby, good heartbeat, placenta ok, cervix closed etc. Had a lot of blood in my urine so have been diagnosed with a kidney infection , was an emotional wreck in the hospital and had a lovely midwife and doctor looking after me, I told them all about the stress of work etc and how it was effecting me and they have signed me off sick due to stress . I swear the drive over in the car to the hospital made me realize what is important I had another strsssful day at work & all I kept thinking was I am loosing our miracle baby because I’m so stressed, it gave me the wake up call I needed.
I am just so grateful tonight that all is ok x

That's great everything is ok Jess. I'm also glad your signed off now. That little baby is the most important thing in the world and u can put ur feet up now and enjoy the rest of your pregnancy. Sometimes we need a little kick in the right direction or someone to make the decision for us. That's how it happened for me too, I had no guilt ad they told me to stop working, it's the same for u. It's out of ur hands now! Hope the kidney inf clears up soon, had been thinking of u all night! X

Glad ur resting up Jess. Sometimes we all need a reminder of just how precious this is. I had a scan again this morning. Baby still growing along the same curve and blood flow through cord seems to be holding well too. Back in 2 weeks for another scan. Think this baby is gonna make an appearance in Oct time. Somehow don't feel ready at all for it. Consultant gave me some good Netflix recommendations if ur stuck Jess!!

Fingers crossed Dotty she’s stay where she is for as long as possible, when will they make a decision ?
it’s looking s a section for me too because of my pelvic injury , I know it sounds strange but I’m disappointed o won’t “go into labour “ etc I’m sure everyone that has had a natural labour is screaming at me but I feel like I will be missing out!

I know what u mean Jess, it's the lack of choice maybe? I've always thought of the birth as another milestone and elective sections are such a different reality. But however our little ones arrive as long as it's best for them we will do it!
It depends how my placenta holds up as to when...if things start to deteriorate it will be weekly scans then admit me for daily monitoring and lastly delivering bubs. So a way to go but I'm thinking between 30 to 35 weeks. They mentioned today giving me steroids at some stage for the baby's lungs.

I think your right Dotty it is the lack of choice. Please god things stay well for you for as long as possible and baby is nice and snug for as long as she needs. Really sounds like they are looking after you well though
We have our anomaly scan tomorrow I’m very nervous, praying all will be ok
