Anyone attending CUMH cork here?

Postby broody1 » Sat May 17, 2014 7:32 pm

Hey all from cork.
Looking for evening antenatal evening classes and heard they were held in another cork hospital?
have booked day classes in cumh but doesnt suit us both.
What about private evening classes? any recommendations in cork city/suburbs :brickwall :brickwall ?
will resort to paying for private evening classes but dont want to.

When I rang cumh to enquire about evening classes, I was told that they are held in the orthopedic hospital but were all full but when I rang back again to see if there was any cancellations I was told there is no such thing as evening antenatal classes?? Can anyone shed any light on it??

Hiya, I did that course last year and it was great fierce handy to do it in one go on the Saturday! We live about 45 mins from hospital so it really didn't suit us to have to do it over a few nights. When are you due cos they fill up quite fast?

Hi broody1, i did my antenatel in the orthepedic. 2 afternoons started at 4 or half 4 until 7. Cumh was booked out when i went to book and to be totally honest the orthepedic was easier to get to and parking was no problem. Ive since been told that some girls are booking antenatel classes before 1st app at hospital, unsure how that would work

Claire Boyle was highly recommended to me by a friend who had a baby last year. She also offers breastfeeding classes for people interested... I managed to get a spot in the antenatal classes in CUMH but they're not until late August as my due date is in October.

I'm doing mine with Rebecca O'Donovan, she's the lactation consultant at CUMH as well so will get the antenatal and breastfeeding all done in one day.
