SIS procedure

Postby MrsD13 » Thu Mar 05, 2020 1:30 pm

So I had my first apt with the Rotunda and the path we are going down is that I’ll be getting the SIS procedure done next month. The one where they flush out your tubes. Has anyone had this done before, If so can you tell me what it was like. I’ve opted to get a sedative for it as I’m terrified of all medical procedures

Hi MrsD I had a HSG done last year. This is where they inject a dye into your tubes Xray it and looking for it to spill out the other side. Not sure if this is the same? If it is it wasn’t bad more uncomfortable when they clamp the cervix. It was no problem. Best of luck with your treatment!

Hi mrsD, it's not bad at all. A small bit of discomfort, and you leak for a little while afterwards! But if you're not great on procedures, maybe see if they can give you even a small amount of sedation just to relax you. No need to knock you out.. That might make you feel far worse!

Ya I’ve been given a perscription for Valium so hopefully that will do the trick.
