Hi everyone, sorry I haven't been on, had a busy few weeks! Sounds like September is going to be a busy month on here. Sarah all you need is the one golden egg so here's hoping. Lorraine are you feeling excited?

Hi everyone, I am trying naturally this month after the removal of the polyps. We are off on hols this weekend so weren't able to go with an assisted cycle this month. Am of course secretly hoping that the polyps were our issue but trying to be realistic too and not get hopes up. Have the ovulation tests out for the first time in almost 2 years.

Hey all defo the calm before the storm. Have one more natural cycle before we go again so probably looking at end of September or early October. I’m gonna try melatonin next as read it helps egg quality - has anyone used it?

I've just started it Mrsa...you need a prescription as its controlled here. Found out the hard way when I ordered it from iherb and it got stopped by customs! Or if you know anyone abroad get them to pick it up as its OTC everywhere else! It was €49 for 2 months worth!! Serum recommended 1x 2mg tab going to bed. First week I slept like a log but have been finding that I'm waking a bit during the night this week. No idea if its related or just my general restlessness at the moment. I really don't like waiting!!

Oh really? I ordered it before off iherb and it came through. Maybe it’s the quantity? I hope I get it as I already know my consultant won’t prescribe it for me as he doesn’t believe in anything outside medicine.

Agreed on waiting - I haaaaate it.

No I didn’t in the end. Just trying to trust the doctor as I do agree on why he was against dhea. I just wish he was more into the supplements or maybe just not so dismissive of them as I feel like it’s all I have to rely on for egg quality improvement so makes me feel nervous going into next round.

I'd feel exactly the same. But sure you've researched it yourself and are doing everything you can to improve things so fingers crossed it will just be a straightforward run for you this time. I've seen a lot of talk recently about "it starts with an egg" book...would it be worth a try?

Girls iv been on melatonin since first contact with Serum i think May. Have always got it from iherb no hassel. I get the 3mg and its about €4 for i think 60 tabs. Ridiculously cheap. I sleep really well while on them.

MrsK i hope that the polyps were the only thing getting in your way and you get your bfp! It would be amazing xx

Heres hoping is right Michelle...if i think to much about it i freak out so im trying to switch off but its so hard!!

Yeah I used it starts with the egg and it definitely picked me up and encouraged me to make positive changes etc. It gave me hope on the egg quality thing.

MrsA keep that hope going as ladies have definitely had better results after making changes. And with a change in protocol too you could see a great improvement with egg quality next cycle. Its trial & error especially the first cycle x

Definetly. Have eaten pretty well and cut out alcohol almost entirely. Only thing I haven’t cut is my one flat white in the morning and chocolate and even at that I’ve cut down. I don’t think any of the above are proven to make a massive difference but sure At least I can say I’ve done my best.

So when is serum reopen then?

I got the melatonin on iherb too with no problem but I'm not sure what the dosage is. You might just have been unlucky Lorraine. So that's Melatonin, coq10 and Royal Jelly for egg quality? Sounds like you're on the ball MrsA and nobody can say you didn't give it your best shot!

Thanks Sarah and MrsK
We have agreed to try ourselves for 2-3 months and then proceed with IUI for maybe 2 cycles in the new year.
